The New Home of
A Byrd House of Families
Dear friends, cousins and various Byrd watchers,
A little time will pass before we learn enough about how to make this a good
site, but learning the html language is underway. Our plan is to show stuff
of interest to our extended family and show our shared heritage .
We stand upon the shoulders of our parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents as
we look back in time. There is much of which to be proud, there is some to be
sad or reflective. It is all valuable and from it we learn the stuff of which
we are made.
On these pages will be presented a history of our extended family that we have
discovered with the help of many, far too many to be listed here. For the time being,
this history will be presented with links to other sites that can show some of this.
The rest will be presented here after a while.
If the preceding sounds far too serious, there will be links to other
subjects of interest to the sponsors of this site.
Present links to sites of interest:

Genealogy
One of the nicest sites for those interested in genealogy is GenCircles.com. It is a free site, without pop-up ads, and has many features helpful for the researcher. We encourage anyone doing genealogy to register and store their gedcom file there. A direct link to our posting there is also called "A Byrd House of Families". No living persons at our public GenCircles posting are shown for privacy concerns.
Other sites for researchers:
RootsWeb.com
Ancestry.com

Other lines of interest:
Experimental Aircraft Association
KR-2 , the plane Roger & Jeff will shortly begin to build.
Academy of Model Aeronautics
District of Columbia Radio Control Model Aircraft Club (local chapter)
Miniature International Aerobatics
RoadFly , a neat site for car-nuts.
Other "Stuff" soon.
Your patience will be rewarded down the road. In the meantime, enjoy the links. We can be reached at the following email addresses, but you will have to hand-enter into your address book if you do not already have them:
